Effective date: August 14, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the AvoPet iOS app and the official AvoPet website operated by WonGyu Jang in the Republic of Korea. AvoPet is available in the Republic of Korea, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. By downloading the app or accessing or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Relationship to Apple’s Standard EULA
The license to use the AvoPet app obtained through the App Store is governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple Standard EULA”). You can review the Apple Standard EULA here:
https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
These AvoPet Terms set additional conditions for use of the app and related services. If there is a conflict between these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA regarding the app license, the Apple Standard EULA controls. Apple is not the operator of the AvoPet service and is not a party to these Terms.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.
- If you are 16 or older but are still a minor under the laws of your place of residence, you must obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian where required.
- You must have the legal capacity to use the service in your place of residence.
3. Accounts and Authentication
- When you open the app, AvoPet may automatically create a user UUID through Supabase anonymous authentication.
- AvoPet does not offer traditional email-and-password registration.
- Linking a Google or Apple account is optional and is available to help protect and restore your existing data.
- An unlinked anonymous account may not be recoverable if you delete the app, change devices, or lose your session.
- You are responsible for keeping your device and any linked accounts secure.
- You must not access another person’s account or authentication credentials without authorization.
The official AvoPet website does not provide sign-up, sign-in, payment, community, or contact-form features. You may contact support by email or phone.
4. The Service
AvoPet is a free, ad-supported service. It does not currently offer paid subscriptions, in-app purchases, or paid products. The service may include:
- Profile entry and health-data processing consent
- Meal verification using photos taken with the camera

5. Health Features and Consent
- Health-related features are available after you consent to health-data processing.
- If you refuse or withdraw consent, AvoPet stops new health-data collection and AI analysis, and related features are limited.
- Ordinary pet adoption and gameplay features remain available.
- Withdrawing consent alone does not automatically delete existing health data.
- Health-data deletion and full account deletion are separate processes.
For details on health-data processing, consent management, and deletion requests, please see the Privacy Policy and Privacy Choices pages.
6. AI Meal Feedback
- AI meal feedback is general information for reference only.
- It is not a medical diagnosis, treatment, prescription, or professional medical or nutritional advice.
- AI results may be inaccurate or incomplete.
- If you have health concerns or need medical judgment, consult an appropriate healthcare professional.
- You should not make significant health decisions based solely on AI results.
7. User Content and Limited License
You retain your rights in the photos and text you take or enter. You may provide only content that you have the lawful right to use.
To the extent needed to provide the features you request, you grant AvoPet a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, transmit, convert, and analyze that content and to display related results. This license is solely for providing requested services such as meal verification, AI analysis, journaling, and data restoration. It is not a transfer of ownership. AvoPet does not expand this license for public posting, marketing, or sale.
Details on retention and deletion are governed by the Privacy Policy.
8. Gameplay Data
- Virtual pets, collection entries, items, in-game currency, and progress are features within the service.
- They have no cash or real-world property value and may not be sold, transferred, or exchanged between users.
- There is currently no paid purchase feature for them.
- Gameplay content may change for operations, balancing, or bug fixes.
- If a change is material and adverse, AvoPet will provide advance notice where reasonably practicable.
Nothing in this section excludes rights that applicable law guarantees to you.
9. Advertising and Third-Party Services
AvoPet is a free service that includes advertising. At present, AdMob requests are configured for non-personalized ads only. For details on advertising-related personal information processing, please see the Privacy Policy.
Third-party services such as Supabase, OpenAI, Google, Apple, and AdMob may be used to provide the service. Their terms and privacy policies may also apply. AvoPet does not guarantee the uninterrupted availability or operation of third-party services.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Violate applicable law
- Infringe another person’s rights
- Upload photos or information that are unlawful, harmful, or that you do not have the right to use

11. Intellectual Property
Rights in the AvoPet app, website, logos, characters, graphics, user interface, software, and operator-created content belong to the operator or other rightful owners. You receive only the limited rights needed to use the service. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or commercially exploit those materials without authorization.
You retain ownership of the content you provide.
12. Changes, Suspension, and Access Limits
- The service may change or be temporarily suspended for maintenance, outages, security, legal compliance, third-party service disruptions, or similar reasons.
- For material changes or discontinuation, AvoPet will provide advance notice through the app or website where reasonably practicable.
- AvoPet may take necessary action without prior notice for urgent security or legal reasons.
- If you materially breach these Terms, AvoPet may limit your access to the service and, where reasonably practicable, will explain the reason and the action taken.
13. Ending Use and Data Deletion
- You may stop using the app at any time.
- In the app settings, you may request health-data deletion or full account deletion; these are separate processes.
- When full account deletion is completed, service-use data and the authentication account may be deleted.
The actual scope of deletion, any retention exceptions, and rights-request procedures are governed by the Privacy Policy and Privacy Choices pages.
14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The service is continually improved and is not guaranteed to be uninterrupted or error-free.
- AvoPet does not absolutely warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of AI feedback or analysis.
- These Terms do not exclude liability for the operator’s willful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or for any liability that applicable law does not permit to be limited.
- Mandatory consumer-protection rights under the laws of the Republic of Korea, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore are not excluded.
